PANLINE: Mirror’s Edge Spiritual Successor So Realistic, Fans Thought It Was AI

The long absence of new games in the Mirror’s Edge series hasn’t diminished interest in its unique parkour-runner concept. Recently, fans of the franchise have turned their attention to PANLINE, a game that some initially mistook for AI-generated video, so strikingly similar it is to Mirror’s Edge in both visuals and concept.

PANLINE invites players to step into the shoes of a parkour courier in a futuristic world where “runners” thrive amidst a shifted value system, controlling information flows and new centers of power. Players will join the Charter team – a network of couriers, fixers, and data brokers who drive a new attention economy built on identity and exclusivity. Between contracts, players return to a central base where services are exchanged, connections are made, and trust is built or broken.

The developers behind PANLINE previously released the 3D platformer Ikarus Parkour on Steam, which garnered very positive player reviews. PANLINE is slated for release in 2026, promising a fresh take on the beloved free-running genre.
