Developers of Forza Horizon 6 have taken valuable lessons from the experience gained with previous installments in the franchise.
The development team continues to reveal new information about the upcoming project. Recently, they unveiled details about the Horizon Rush feature and showcased its engaging gameplay.
By thoroughly analyzing player metrics from Forza Horizon 5, Playground Games observed a common trend: many players completed “showcase events” (such as the iconic race against a train) only a single time.
It became clear that simple variations in weather and time of day were insufficient to encourage long-term replayability for these events. This led Playground Games to devise a novel approach, resulting in the creation of Horizon Rush.

Upon its launch, Forza Horizon 6 will introduce players to three distinct Horizon Rush tracks, which can be progressively unlocked as they advance through their career.
These Horizon Rush tracks are meticulously designed as time-limited obstacle courses. The primary objective for players is to master the intricate routes and continuously strive to improve their personal best times. The mode supports various playstyles, allowing players to participate in solo, cooperative, or competitive multiplayer settings. Developers anticipate that this dynamic system will effectively motivate players to repeatedly engage with these challenging event types.
Forza Horizon 6 is officially scheduled for release on May 19, 2026. However, players who purchase the Premium Edition will be granted early access, allowing them to start playing four days ahead of the general release.
