A new turn-based tactical RPG, Solasta II, has recently entered Early Access on Steam for PC. Built under the Wizards of the Coast license and utilizing the familiar SRD 5e ruleset, the game aims to deliver a deep tactical experience.
Developers have highlighted a significantly enhanced “Ready Action” mechanic within its combat system. This advanced feature allows players to pre-set actions that will dynamically trigger outside of their character’s turn, adding a sophisticated layer of strategic planning to battles.
In Solasta II, players create a party of four heroes and journey to the continent of Neokos to unravel a complex family legacy. The game encourages extensive exploration, offering the freedom to roam its lands and discover both well-trodden paths and untamed wilderness. Player choice in navigating the world is a key element.
The current Early Access version encompasses the game’s first act, providing approximately 10-15 hours of content. The full release of Solasta II is projected to be available in about a year.
