Legendary game designer Hideo Kojima has shared new information regarding the upcoming update for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The forthcoming changes will impact both the PC version and PlayStation 5 console, offering players a wealth of fresh content and enhancements.

PC owners will benefit from several significant technical improvements. These include the ability to play with an unlocked frame rate, full support for ultrawide monitors, DualSense controller integration, and modern upscaling and frame generation technologies for smoother and more detailed graphics.

Among the key additions coming to the game, a new difficulty level called “To the Wilder” stands out, designed to make the playthrough significantly more challenging. Players can expect new items, the option to re-challenge bosses, and the highly anticipated 21:9 ultrawide screen mode for PS5 users. A delightful extra will be the introduction of Sam’s new companion – a chiral cat.

The developers will also reintroduce previously cut live-action cinematics into the game, allowing for a deeper dive into the narrative. Furthermore, new episodes will be added, including fresh nightmares for the protagonist Sam, expanding his story and the game’s world.

Gameplay will also be refined, with changes based on thorough analysis of player data, aiming to enhance the overall gaming experience.

The PC release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is scheduled for March 19th, when all these new features will become available.
