Wildlight Entertainment, Developer of Highguard, Reportedly Closes

No official statements have been released by the company’s management yet regarding the situation.

Wildlight Entertainment, the studio known for the unsuccessful shooter Highguard, appears to have quietly closed down. Although there has been no official confirmation, journalists at MP1st have highlighted several indirect signs indicating its closure.

In recent days, the company’s key online resources have disappeared: the studio’s LinkedIn page has been removed, and its official website is no longer functioning, displaying a ‘404 Page Not Found’ error. This follows mass layoffs that occurred at the studio a month ago after the disastrous launch of their debut game.

An additional indicator is a statement from co-founder and head of the studio, Chad Grenier. Despite the unsuccessful outcome, he noted that he gained valuable experience and is proud of his team’s work. Furthermore, his LinkedIn profile has already been updated, indicating that he left Wildlight this month.
